I have wheezing in my throat. Does that mean I have asthma?

About 2 months ago, I had an ear infection that cause a lot of drainage into my throat and made me cough non-stop. I'm finally getting some relief due to antibiotics. I'm still coughing some but not near as much. I have noticed that I wake myself up in the night hearing a wheezing sound. I don't hear it when I inhale but only when I exhale. It's not coming from my lungs, I hear and feel it in my throat. Is that considered asthma?
