Is it illegal to be signed up for a rewards program without authorization or notice illegal in TN?

I was asked for all of my "personal" information by a cashier and later found out that I was registered for a rewards program with all kinds of crazy terms and conditions. Is that legal to do without the cashier telling me? i tried to decline giving the info but she was persistent and I was in a hurry.
