Is this a good culture?

I watch American Tele alot and noticed that the show 'Cops' usually has mostly rednecks on it. Trailer parks and obese people missing teeth are the norm. It also seems that the whole country revolves around Walmart. I know that the bulk of trashy white people can be attributed to high levels of Scotch-Irish immigration at America's founding, but is it really this bad? I've been to America before but only the nice liberal areas like western LA county or Manhattan. Is there really that many illbred people over there?
