Twinges in my abdomen...?

My period is not due until the 24th and it's never usually early. I typically have 28 day cycles but the odd 30 day. The last couple of days I've been experiencing a bit of cramping, twinge like cramping, in my right abdomen by my belly on and occasional in my lower left abdomen. Has anyone else experienced this? I usually only get cramping the day before or the day of my period that 's it so I really don't know what't goin on. Please help!
