Whats a good amp for my les paul special?

I like to play any thing from what Bob Wootton of the tennessee three would play to led zeppelin, I also like drop d distortion and pitch harmonics, something that would give me a good sound for any thing I want to play, I think i have the guitar for that, but ive been playing out of a Kustom with a celestion speaker and Its ok but I have a problem when it comes to my metal all mush and its hard for my harmonics to come through Idk just wondering Im looking for around $300-$500 I played out of a awesome marshal but I dont like the price tag Im also not fond of the fender amps but would a used pro jr. do what im looking for. let me know what you think could help me out.
